چکیده
In this paper, design data from a protocol analysis experiment is used to validate that EnvironmentBased Design (EBD) is a descriptive model of design. The EBD is developed as a design methodology for innovative and creative design based on the understanding of the generic design process. The validation of EBD is conducted by using it to describe and represent the design data collected from protocol analysis experiments. The result of this experiment shows that the EBD can naturally and smoothly represent the design processes demonstrated by different designers. The steam-distilled essential oil from Artemisia persica growing wild in Iran was analyzed by GC/MS. In all 50 compounds were identified; Davanone (60.56%), Cis Chrysanthenyl acetate (8.65%), Limonene (5.68%), ? Pinene (3.74%), Davanone ether isomer + (3.6%) and ? Thujene (3.6%) were the main components of the oil respectively.
